KUALA TERENGGANU -- Umno Puteri has stepped up its cyber warfare to counter attacks from the opposition, in preparation for the 13th General Election, said its chief Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin.

"We have formed an IT savvy group to focus completely on the matter," she said.

Rosnah, who is also Health deputy minister, was speaking to reporters after opening the Kuala Terengganu Umno Puteri division delegates meeting, here today.

Commenting on the allocation of seats, Rosnah said the matter had been left to the party's highest leaders.

Rosnah also announced that she would not be contesting as Umno Puteri chief in the next general election due to her age, as she has turned 40.

"However, we have many leaders who can lead the movement in the future," she added. -- Bernama
